About
Welcome to the Movement and Performance Podcast, where my goal is to help you move more and perform better.
I’m here to inspire confidence and competence in a variety of physical activities, guiding you toward a sustainable and empowering path to improved performance and overall well-being.
Each month, I deliver 1-2 full-length episodes, followed by short Practical Application posts to help you put what you’ve learned into action.
About the Host: Anthony Carrano is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the NSCA. Anthony also serves as a research assistant in the Applied Muscle and Development Lab at Lehman College under the supervision of Brad Schoenfeld. In the evenings, he coaches climbing conditioning at Movement Gyms and teaches martial arts at his father's school (Hoteikan Dojo), where he has trained throughout his life. Anthony is dedicated to movement, fitness, and helping individuals in his community get active and take an informed approach to their training.
Season 1
I started this venture as a small passion project called "Cafe Meets Coaches," where I met with experts in local cafes to discuss movement and fitness. You can find these early videos on YouTube in the Cafe Meets Coaches Podcast Playlist. While the video and sound quality vary, my focus was on exploring wisdom rather than perfecting production.
Season 2
I rebranded my podcast to be called “Movement and Performance Podcast”. I am now determined to improve the quality of my videos ensuring I present the material better than Season 1. I made the investment in proper equipment and have had a bit more support in the production side of the process. I am excited to continue this journey and improve with each episode.
